In a world that often feels rushed and chaotic, my work serves as a sanctuary of peace and reflection. My large-scale flower meadow paintings are more than just depictions of nature; they are gateways to a meditative escape, inviting viewers to pause, breathe, and connect with the natural beauty that surrounds us.
While I have always identified as an artist, I felt an artistic renaissance after the birth of my first child. Navigating the complexities of new motherhood, I struggled to learn my new identity in the world. At a time when life felt both metaphorically chaotic with the shift in my identity in this world, and literally chaotic as I managed a job, home, and a new baby, my art became my grounding force. Painting brought me back to my truth, offering a sense of stability and peace amidst the turbulence.
I have a deep appreciation for natures simple yet profound beauty. Each painting I create is an homage to the tranquil landscapes that have inspired me throughout my life. Through the delicate interplay of color, light, and form, I aim to capture the essence of a flower, where every petal and blade of grass whispers a story of life’s intricate balance.
